Bus Transfers To and From Trondheim Airport

Trondheim Airport is located in the village of Vaernes, which is 12 miles/19 km east of Trondheim, in Nord-Trondelag County.

From Trondheim Airport, all passengers will have various options for bus transportation services that can bring you to and from your further location. The buses that operate from the airport include Flybussen, Vaernes-ekspressen Unibuss, and several local bus lines.

Flybussen

When using Flybussen passengers can transfer from Trondheim Airport to many places within the city of Trondheim, including Sorgenfri Station (Trondheim Central Station) and many hotels. The bus will depart from Trondheim Airport every 10 minutes.

If you want to get to downtown Trondheim, please get off at Sondre gate. This trip will take approximately 40 minutes.

At Trondheim Airport, the buses are located directly outside the arrivals hall.

• Adult return ticket: NOK 260.00
• Children and elders single ticket: NOK 70.00
• Children and elders return ticket: NOK 140.00

Children, up to 15 years of age can travel free when accompanied by a paying adult.

Varnes-ekspressen - Unibuss

Vaernes-ekspressen is another bus service you can use when transferring to and from Trondheim Airport.

It operates the following route: Vaernes - Ranheim - Solsiden - Royal Garden - Torget - NTNU – Moholt.

All passengers will find local buses operated by the AtB Company, which run to and from Trondheim Airport

You can take the bus route number 38 and 310. The bus stop can be found within a 4 minutes’ walk from the airport terminal.
